Dr Madhu Khullar is Professor in the Department of Experimental Medicine & Biotechnology, PGIMER, Chandigarh. She obtained her PhD from PGIMER, Chandigarh and obtained fellowship in Hypertension Research from Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA. She is Fellow, National Academy of Medical Sciences, India, Fellow, International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences, Fellow, International College of Clinical Nutrition. Her main research interest is in Cardiovascular diseases, Hypertension and diabetes. Her research work involves studying molecular mechanisms, genetics, epigenetics and functional genomics of Primary cardiomyopathies, Hypertension and Diabetic cardiomyopathies.
She has published 168 papers in peer reviewed international and national journals. She is Chief Editor, Editor and Editorial member of Several National and International Journals. My research interest is to study the molecular mechanisms, genetics, epigenetics and functional genomics of primary and diabetic cardiomyopathies. I am an established investigator and published more that 160 original research articles in peer-reviewed journals, which include Nature Genetics, Circulation Research, Kidney International, Journal of Neurology Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, The FASEB Journal, Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, International Journal of Cardiology and Hypertension. I have more than 40 research grants from The Council of Medical Research India (ICMR), The Department of Science and Technology India (DST) and The Department of Biotechnology India (DBT), and supervised more than 40 doctoral and 50 master students.
