Dr. Ramesh K. Goyal is Executive Director (Research & Strategies), V ClinBio Labs Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai. He was the Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from 2008-11, Director (Pharmacology and Clinical Research) at NMIMS University, Mumbai; Director ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga, Punjab and Professor at L. M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad. He has over 38 years of experience in Teaching and Research particularly in Cardiovascular Pharmacology & Diabetes. In between he was a post-doctoral scholar (1984) and visiting scientist (1995) at University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada and visiting Professor, Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, University of Manitoba, Canada (1999, 2001, 2003and 2006). He is has been the Chairman of Central Regional Committee of AICTE, Bhopal and Member, Executive Committee of AICTE, New Delhi. He has three patents, 18 books, 26 book chapters, over 300 full papers (‘h’ index 32), over 400 abstracts published in National and International journals. He has guided 43 Ph.D. and 179 M. Pharm. Students.
He is the recipient of 61 awards including Best Pharmacy Teacher and Best Pharmaceutical Research Scientist from APTI and Life Time Achievement & Distinguished Service Awards from International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences, Canada. He is the Fellow of seven professional bodies (FIPS, FIACS, FAMS, FIC, FICN, FNASc. FSCH) and Member of different committees (ICMR, AICTE, UGC). He has been the President of Indian Pharmacological Society (2009) and Society of Pharmacovigilance, India (2010-11) and President of Indian Society of Hypertension (2012). He is currently the Vice President of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences (India Chapter) and India Pharmaceutical Association (Ahmedabad Branch). He has attended number of Seminars, Workshops and Conferences as Resource Person and also chaired various sessions. Dr. Goyal has been invited to deliver about 174 lectures in India and 25 lectures abroad.
